Batasa Syariah, the flagship fund of Batasa Capital, has shown that fund management that complied with Islamic principle is not an obstacle to perform the best, including outperforming
conventional funds. When mass redemption happened in 2005 in Indonesia, when Bank of Indonesia raised its key interest rates, this fund still showed its strength by booking a stable return. Since its inception on July 2004, Batasa Syariah has booked an average year-on-year return of 12.64%, as shown below:

At the end of 2005, Batasa Syariah showed its persistent effort internationally when Bloomberg LP voted this fund as No.2 best performing bond fund among 413 bond funds in Asia Pacific
(including Japan) for 1 year total return.
On September 2006, Karim Business Consulting, one of the prominent Islamic finance consulting in Indonesia, conducted research on bond funds in Asia Pacific for 3 year total return
using data from Bloomberg LP. In this research, Batasa Syariah has made its way to become the best performing bond fund, reaching No. 1 for 3 year total return.

Our performance has also recognized nationally. Investor Magazine, one of the leading business magazines in Indonesia, No.164 on 28 February - 13 March 2007 had voted Batasa Syariah as No. 1 bond fund for 1 year return and No. 2 bond fund for 3 year return from all the bond funds in Indonesia. This result was based on risk-adjusted return.
